The Macon-Bibb County Government wants to make sure its employees are able to celebrate safely with family this holiday season. For that reason, Government offices will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.
That excludes Public Safety Offices including the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, Macon-Bibb Fire Department, E911, and the Emergency Management Agency.
For Solid Waste pickup, Advanced Disposal will pick up trash and recycling carts Monday, December 21 through Thursday, December 24, and then on Saturday, December 26. If your pickup day is Friday, then your carts will be gathered the following day. It’s the same for New Year’s week. ADS will gather carts Monday, December 28, through Thursday, December 31, and then on Saturday, January 2.
Macon-Bibb Solid Waste crews will work Monday through Wednesday both weeks, then return to their usual four-day work week beginning on January 4, 2021.
