Commissioners chosen for board committees

February 22, 2018

At this year’s annual Strategic Planning Retreat, District 9 Commissioner Al Tillman was elected by his fellow Commissioners to be Mayor Pro Tem. He would take the place of District 5 Commissioner Bert Bivins, who had served in the role since December 31, 2013. Both were recognized at the Commission Meeting on February 6. Part of the role of Mayor Pro Tem is to serve on the Committee of Committees, which appoints Commissioners to individual Committees. He, along with Mayor Reichert and District 1 Commissioner Gary Bechtel, set the Committees (see below) at a meeting on February 8, and the Chairs and Vice Chairs were selected by members of the Committees at a meeting on February 14.
