So many exciting and important things are happening in our County, but we want to give you a deeper look into what’s happening in each area. This week we rode along with Commissioner Al Tillman to see what District 9 is up to.

Commissioner Tillman has represented his district for eight years. Looking back, he says he is proud of being a part of the construction of the first joint Fire Station and Sheriff’s Precinct on Napier Avenue.

“Things that we have been able to do over on Eisenhower Parkway, Filmore Thomas Park, Log Cabin Drive, and Henry Burns Park,” said Commissioner Tillman. “We can truly point to things and say this has been done and accomplished.”

Commissioner Tillman has three years left in this term and when we asked him what he looks forward to accomplishing in those three years, he said the Macon Mall revitalization project.
