Giving people in need a warm place to stay and resources is not the only mission for the Brookdale Resource Center. As people go through difficult transitions, the staff and volunteers want every guest to know they are loved, especially during the holidays. This week, several people decorated the Center with Christmas trees and holiday decorations.

“They came in and put a Christmas tree in every family room,” said Brookdale Director Alison Bender. “It’s giving them the opportunity to have Christmas just like they would at their home. The kids were super excited, and we are so grateful.”

Renasant Bank donated the decorations and decorated the Center in hopes of bringing cheer to the children staying at the Center.

“I think these decorations will be eye-opening and these kids are going to be amazed,” said Melanie Marshall Renasant Bank Market President. “The trees, the halls, the wonder of Christmas.”

The team managed to decorate the entire Center before the children staying there got out of school.
