Ryland Environmental is well into the third week of handling all solid waste collections in the County. Since the start of the transition, Ryland has delivered more than 50,000 trash and recycling carts throughout Macon-Bibb.
Effective immediately, Ryland will not pick up trash and/or recycling from the old carts. If you still do not have a new cart (marked with Ryland’s logo), you need to put in a SeeClickFix order here or call Ryland at (866) 898-4411. The old carts belong to Advanced Disposal Services (ADS) and should be placed empty on your curb on your normal collection day. It will take several weeks for ADS to collect them all.
“Our team is working hard to make sure everyone is getting the service they deserve,” said Ryland Managing Partner James Lanier. “We can’t stress enough how thankful we are for everyone’s patience during this transition. We really care about being part of and serving the Macon-Bibb community.”
Recycling collection alternates weeks with yard and bulk waste collection and happens on the same day as your trash collection. Next week (Jan. 24-28) is yard and bulk waste pickup. For rules on yard and bulk waste, click here. You can see what can and can’t be recycled here. Remember to have all your recyclables in your carts, including broken down cardboard boxes. Any recycling that is not in the cart will not be picked up.
No collection days have changed. There was a mixup with the flyers distributed by a subcontracted company, but you can always check your collection day here.
