Macon – Bibb County grand jurors indicted Trayvion Lamonte Burney and Anterrio Tremaine Stinson Tuesday in the Halloween 2017 fatal shooting of 38-year-old Jackie Rouse on Dennis Street in east Macon.

Burney, 23, and Stinson, 25, both of Macon, also are accused of shooting a second man, Quincy Emory, who survived his wounds.

Tuesday’s indictment charges Burney and Stinson with three counts of felony murder; one count each of malice murder, armed robbery and aggravated assault; and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Stinson additionally is charged with possession of a firearm by a first offender probationer. Burney also is charged with another count of felony murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

An indictment is a charging document issued by grand jurors if the group determines probable cause exists for the case to move forward toward trial.  Each defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
