Macon — Bibb County grand jurors indicted a Macon man on 11 counts of dogfighting Tuesday.

Michael Dawn Montgomery, 48, is alleged to have unlawfully possessed 11 dogs in 2015 with the intent to fight them.

An indictment is a charging document issued by grand jurors if the group determines probable cause exists for the case to move forward toward trial.  A defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
