Macon — Bibb County grand jurors indicted a Macon man Tuesday on allegations he knowingly possessed, distributed or controlled child pornography in January.

Dennis Craig Smith, 31, is charged with six counts of sexual exploitation of children.

An indictment is a charging document issued by grand jurors if the group determines probable cause exists for the case to move forward toward trial.  A defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
