In late March, the Public Relations Society of America Georgia Chapter (PRSA Georgia) announced that Chris Floore, Assistant to the County Manager for Public Affairs, had been named to its inaugural Forty Under 40 list. The list honors the state’s best and brightest young communications professionals who excel in professional PR, marketing, advertising, and/or social media roles while also giving back to their industry and community. Recipients were honored at an awards ceremony at Emory University’s Miller-Ward House.

Our 40 winners have demonstrated remarkable skills and leadership early in their careers as well as insight, drive and commitment,” said Jasmine Hoffman, APR, PRSA Georgia President. “We are thrilled to recognize these young professionals who are driving the dynamic future of the communications industry.”

“Since before we consolidated, the Office of Public Affairs was tasked with improving communication with people and the community, both providing information and a way to access services, ask questions, and express concerns,” says Floore. “It’s an honor to be included in PRSA Georgia’s inaugural list, but our nationally-recognized program – and ultimately this award – would not have been possible without the Public Affairs team and the support of our departments.”

This recognition follows several others earned by the Office of Public Affairs in the past year, including: being named in Top 10 nationally for Customer Service in 2018 and second for the first quarter of 2019 by SeeClickFix; two awards from PRDaily for its Women of Macon-Bibb Instagram Campaign and the 2017 Public Affairs Annual Report; two awards from the National Association of County Information Officers for the Tropical Storm Irma Debris Collection Infographic and for departmental logos; Chris being named one of the top three Government Communicators of the Year by PRNews and a member of ELGL’s Chris Traeger List for the third year for top local government influencers; and helping Amerson River Park being named the 2nd Best Park in the Country.
