Recently, Assistant to the County Manager for Public Affairs Chris Floore was recognized by two national organizations – Engaging Local Government Leaders (ELG) and PR News – for his local government and public affairs efforts.

At the end of November, Floore was selected for the third year as a recipient of the Chris Traeger Award, a list of the top 100 influencers in local government. Nominations for the award were submitted by local government officials, ELGL members selected the Top 10, and an Evaluation Team selected the remaining 90. The full list can be seen by clicking here. The award is named for the Chris Traeger, the fictional city manager for the City of Pawnee known for his extreme energy and commitment to improving local government in the hit television show Parks and Recreation.

The following week, PR News recognized Floore at its annual PR People Awards as one of the top three government communicators in the United States. The annual awards program showcases the country’s top talent who set the benchmark for excellence in public relations, as well as the professionals and emerging leaders making communications matter.
