On December 14, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission announced its annual series of event to honor and remember the civil rights leader, and several items are coming up that the public is invited to attend. A website has been launched listing all of the events and connecting the Commission with organizations that want to help with an event or host their own.

The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission was created to promote understanding and acceptance of nonviolence and human equality as a way of building community among all citizens of Macon-Bibb County by commemorating the work and life of the civil rights leader.

The press conference was covered by MaconBibbTV and can be viewed by clicking here, and the website can be found by clicking here.
