Pastor Jake Hall from Highland Hill Baptist Church delivered the invocation to a packed house at the commission meeting on July 3, 2018.

At the meeting, the board voted on several items to amend the approved FY2019 Budget. To see those items, click here.

The board also voted on several other items:

Commissioners ratified a $255,578 payment to Macon Transit Authority which allowed buses to run this week.

The board amended Financial Policies related to the budget reports and Finance Director. You can read more about it here.

Pearlie Toliver is reappointed to the Macon Housing Authority Board of Commissioners

Commissioners passed an amendment to the voter-approved SPLOST Project Timeline and Budget to reflect earlier funding for Central City Park and the City Auditorium.  

The board voted to use $5.6 million in SPLOST funds to retire debt.

Commissioners approved $2.3 million in SPLOST money for the next phase of renovations, construction at Freedom Park

$1,922,840 in SPLOST funds will go to the Macon Water Authority for stormwater management. 

The Commission approved a purchase and sale agreement with Williams Communications for a Fire Station Tower using $76,000 in voter-approved SPLOST funds.

Commissioners approved an intergovernmental agreement with the Board of Health to use SPLOST funds for a new facility that will better serve the public. They also approved an agreement with River Edge Behavioral Health to use SPLOST funds for a new Recovery Center on Fulton Mill Road. 

The board voted to amend Section 6-76 of the code to increase registration of vacant and foreclosed realty to $100.
