Note: Dates of filming have changed

The Macon-Bibb County Government Center (700 Poplar Street) will again be transformed into a film set for the upcoming “The Best of Enemies” movie. This filming will require Commission Chambers and foyer in then Government Center to be closed to the public on June 30 and July 5. Film crews will set up on Friday, June 30; film on Saturday, July 1; and break down on Wednesday, July 5. Since the day of filming (July 1) falls on a weekend and the Independence Day Holiday, the entire Government Center will be closed to the public July 1-4.

The Best of Enemies is the latest in movies filmed in Macon-Bibb County, including Rampage, Need for Speed, The 5th Wave, Trouble With The Curve, Fate of the Furious, and 42. Several television shows have also been filmed here, including Brockmire and The Originals. The Best of Enemies used the Government Center as a set earlier in June and returned to finish filming

June 30 and July 5
During setup and breakdown on June 30 and July 5, Commission Chambers will be closed to the public. Access to other areas of the building are available through the front door and First Street entrance. However, please be mindful of the crews working in and around Commission Chambers.

July 1
During filming on July 1, the entire Government Center will be closed to the public, with no access provided. There will be no offices open that day requiring access since it is a Saturday. Poplar Street, D.T. Walton Way, and First Street near Government Center will have intermittent closures between 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Please follow all directions from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office when driving through that area.

Media Access
Peachtree Cinema 2, LLC will work with the local media due to the ongoing interest in using Macon-Bibb County as a filming location. During the three days at Government Center, they are willing to provide opportunities to cover the set and process. As a reminder, they will have primary and exclusive right to use the areas outlined in the agreement to allow them the space and time to complete their work in the time requested.
