Buying & Selling
The Buying and selling of vehicles and equipment is a combined effort of The Macon-Bibb County Finance(Purchasing Division) and Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance Departments. Vendors List and Bid Calls are handled through the Finance Department’s Purchasing Division. The Vehicle Maintenance Department’s role is to assist Macon-Bibb County departments with writing specifications for vehicles/equipment, provide justification analysis for vehicle replacements, and manage surplus or salvaged inventory, vehicles and equipment.
Macon-Bibb County utilizes on-site and online auction methods to sell salvaged vehicles, equipment and surplus inventory.
