Rosa Parks Square is a civic plaza in Downtown Macon located between Macon’s historic City Hall and
City Auditorium in the midst of a vibrant retail area. The park is currently designed as a monument
garden with little pedestrian access and usage. The greenspace was the subject of a series of public
meetings where a new design was ultimately proposed. This process was led by the Macon-Bibb County
Urban Development Authority in concert with Macon-Bibb County Consolidated Government.
Notice is hereby given that the Macon-Bibb County Urban Development Authority will receive responses
to the Request for qualifications for landscape and park design services in the ECDD offices, 200 Cherry
Street, first floor, Macon, Georgia 31201, until 12:00 o’clock NOON at the time legally prevailing in
Macon, Georgia on Friday, June 26th, for the creation of bid documents and a project budget for Rosa
Parks Square in accordance with the included design drawings.
A non-mandatory pre-bid walkthrough at the park is scheduled Friday, June 5 at 10am. Location: 700
