Macon-Bibb to celebrate new facilities, improvements at Henderson Stadium

On December 11, Macon-Bibb County leaders celebratedS the start of the third phase of improvements at Henderson Stadium (2172 Anthony Road) . This phase includes new field houses, concession stands, entrance, landscaping, and parking lot. This phase will cost $2.1 million.
The first phase included fixing infrastructure issues with the stands and replacing fencing. This past year, the field was replaced, the lights were upgraded, better irrigation was installed, and drainage was upgraded. These phases cost $1.5 million, and a ll phases of construction were funded by the sale of the Ed DeFore Sports Complex to the Bibb County School District.
