Nuisance Per Se(NPS)
- Code Enforcement Officer locates abandoned structure.
- Multiple photos are taken.
- Photos and Q-public are submitted to the Code Enforcement Director for approval.
- Photos and Q-public are provided to county attorneys.
- The County attorney reviews information and decides if it will be NPS or Blight Tax.
- NPS letters go out to property owners.
- Property owners can select option #1 repair or demolish themselves or option #2 MBC conducts the demolition.
- If the property owner chooses option #1, they must show good faith effort of trying to improve the property within 60 to 90 days.
- Option #2, a list is provided to the demo company for demolition.
