“New Year, New You”
DEPARTMENT HEADS: PLEASE POST IN HIGH-TRAFFIC AREAS WITHIN YOUR DEPARTMENT
Cutting out sugar is a task that’s easier said than done. Have you struggled with avoiding the breakroom donut box? This challenge will help elevate the ‘drive’ to that box and begin detoxing your brain from relying on the energy it derives from sugar. Also engaging in the challenge should lead to more mindful ways of eating. NO fast food, for example, may generate a need to meal prep with more nutritionally dense options for lunch during the week. It’s a popular theory that says sticking to a straight 21-day goal leads to it becoming a habit….test that theory on yourself!
Each department is requested to implement at least (1) strategy to engage your employees in this challenge while at work (ie, healthier vending machine options, fruit basket in the breakroom, etc.). Create a departmental-wide check in, have mini challenges, poll your employees on what they would like to see implemented. These are just a few suggestions on getting started. At the end of the 21-day period each participating department will be included in a drawing for a ‘healthy’ prize 😊. At the end of the month, please email me the ways your department helped employees reach the end of this challenge successfully and how well-received they were.
