Montina Samuels, MPA
Montina Samuels assists in leading Macon-Bibb County’s compensation operations with responsibility for promotions, terminations, and anything compensation-related. She also provides ongoing customer service to employees of Macon-Bibb County and any external entities.
In her previous role with the City of Smyrna, she served as an HR intern and was responsible for updating various databases in including applicant flow, preparing all new hire paperwork, personnel files, and recruitment processing. She also maintained an exceptional level of customer service with an internal Technician role. While in that role, she was responsible for assisting with full-cycle recruitment and selection functions for the city, completion of a wide variety of personnel actions such as career progression, promotions, and terminations.
Montina has since grown into her role as Compensation Specialist for the Macon-Bibb County government. In this role, she has gained valuable experience in many facets of human resources to include recruiting, benefits, employment, HRIS, and compensation.
Samuels holds a master’s degree in public administration from Troy University, with a concentration in Human Resources Management, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, GA.
In her spare time, Montina enjoys spending priceless moments with her husband and family, expanding her small business venture, and learning more about Human Resources.
