Thanks to the work and resources of multiple people and groups, Daisy Park on Forsyth Street has received a major overhaul to make it a more active space for the neighborhood, visitors, and people needing a place to relax. Among the upgrades are a water feature, a brand-new basketball court, spruced-up green space, picnic tables, and a bench made from repurposed cement. Nearly a dozen organizations pitched in to make Daisy Park what it is today.

The park not only serves the nearby neighborhood, but it is a draw for many people playing basketball, as is evidenced by the games played there nearly every day the weather allows. It is also a place of reflection and relaxation for families needing to spend time at Navicent Health, Medical Center, Ronald McDonald House, and the Jay’s Hope Foundation.
