Commissioners voted to name a new portion of road to match an existing road. The Second Street Corridor Connector Bridge is now known as Little Richard Penniman Boulevard. It links the road of the same name with Second Street Downtown. Click here to learn more about this multi-year improvement project.

The Board approved a Request for Proposal process to retain Professional Services for the Completion of an Enterprise-Wide Equity Assessment, and the provision of policy recommendations based on the findings of that assessment.

Commissioners approved Rachel Umana to the Macon Transit Authority Board.

Commissioners approved a $68,000 federal Emergency Solutions Grant to implement a Rapid Rehousing Program. They also accepted a $68,000 grant for homelessness prevention.

Commissioners approve agreement with the Macon Area Habitat for Humanity for Home Investment Partnership Program Funds to build a house on Shi Place, and a home on Roy Place.

The board approved an amendment to the Economic and Community Development Department’s Community Development Block Grant budget to reprogram unused funds.

 

 

 

 

 

Commissioners approved a Professional Services Agreement with Widner & Associates for architectural and civil site design for the Bloomfield Athletic Complex Renovation.

Commissioners approved a Quit Claim Deed for the sale of property at 1790 First Avenue.

Commissioners approved an agreement with Williams Communication to buy batteries and power supply adapters for the IT Department.

The Board approved buying a 2018 or newer Ford F-450 Super Duty Truck.

Commissioners approve buying two 2021 Kenworth T880 Trucks with McNeilus 42-YD Rear Loader Bodies for the Solid Waste Department. (New garbage trucks!)

Commissioners approved the purchase of a triple combination fire pumper for the Fire Department.

Commissioners approved an amendment to the agreement with CorrectHealth Bibb to continue providing medical and mental health services for inmates in the Law Enforcement Center.

Commissioners approved submitting the Five-Year Short Term Work Program to the Middle Georgia Regional Commission for compliance review.
