BUILDING DEPARTMENT ADMINISTRATION, PROFESSIONAL PLAN REVIEW, CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION SERVICES AND FOR BUSINESS LICENSES, RENTALS,
VACANT STRUCTURES, VACANT LOTS, CERTIFICATES OF OCCUPANCY
AND SAFETY AS WELL AS PLANNING SERVICES
A. INTRODUCTION AND PURPOSE OF REQUEST
Macon Bibb County Government (“MBC”) is soliciting Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) from qualified, licensed contractors (“Contractor”) to provide a full range of internal/external services that are inclusive but not limited to the following: Building Department Administration, Professional Plan Review, building, plumbing, mechanical and electrical inspection services; certificate of occupancy inspections; safety inspections. Code enforcement, rental inspections; vacant structure/lot inspections. The successful contractor will be responsible for providing labor, supervision, materials, equipment, transportation, service and the shop facilities necessary to perform high quality work.
All proposals must be submitted to the Procurement Department. Each respondent is responsible for ensuring that the City on a timely basis receives its proposal. One (1) original and five (5) copies of all proposals must be provided. All documents shall be sealed and clearly identified with “RFQ 20-010-CW Building Department Services” by the submittal deadline. Neither verbal nor electronic submittals will be accepted or considered valid.
Proposals received become the property of the City. The City is not responsible for any costs associated with preparation or submission of proposals. Proposals received will be subject to disclosure under applicable Freedom of Information Act.
