The day after Thanksgiving is typically packed with shopping, but this is the perfect year to try something different for a good cause! The Birdies for Brookdale Golf Tournament is happening at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 26, 2021, at Historic Bowden Golf Course (3111 Millerfield Road).  It’s in partnership with United Way of Central Georgia, and all proceeds will benefit the Brookdale Resource Center.
The cost is $150 per two-person team. Free lunch courtesy of Glory Days Grill will be provided to all players. Each team will receive two mulligans and a raffle ticket. There are cash payouts for first, second, and third place in each flight, as well as other prizes. Each team is strongly encouraged to sign up early.
Jack Dean, Head Golf Professional at Bowden Golf Course, hopes a lot of people will tee off to help others. “I am so excited to have Birdies for Brookdale at our Historic Bowden Golf Course,” Dean says. “We’ve got a great day planned to raise money for the Center, and we’re proud to partner with United Way to raise money for the people in our community who need a little extra help.”
“We are very thankful having United Way put together a charity golf event to benefit our residents. Since its beginning, Brookdale has been successful because of the ongoing support of our community,” says Executive Director Alison Bender. “I know I can speak for everyone here when I say we all are truly grateful for everything Brookdale has to offer.”
