On Wednesday, June 8, the Macon-Bibb County Human Resources Department held its first “Live Well in Maconga” Wellness Fair for its employees, and more than 450 employees attended were able to learn about the new wellness program and ways in which their entire families can live healthier lives.

Throughout the day, they visited 25 different health and wellness vendors; get free biometric screenings (blood pressure, height, weight, and body mass); participate in seminars on surviving the heat, how to prevent chronic disease, the Zika Virus, budgeting, and more; sample healthy food and learn how to cook them; and see fitness demonstrations. To see pictures from the event, click here.
