Macon Bibb County Parks & Rec Summer Camp is a 6-week long day program for children ages 6-15. The Camp begins June 2nd and runs through July 11th. Camp hours are 9am-3pm, however we do offer early drop off (7:30 am) and late pick up (6pm) at no additional cost. The cost for summer camp is $30 a week and includes all materials, daily lunch (and breakfast for those who participate in early drop off), weekly swimming, local and regional outreach programs, and some field trips.
Registration begins May 3rd during our Summer Camp Registration Info Session. Drop by Central City Park from 9am-noon to speak with camp reps and register! Any parent who registers a child and pays in full will receive one week free! Registration is done on site at the community centers through the month of May and closes once a community center is full.
Choose from 4 different camps this year:
General Summer Camp Our summer camp is new this year, with an arts and science focus. It also includes all of the summer camp fun such as athletics, arts and crafts, hands on learning, field day, etc. This type of camp will be located at Bloomfield, East Macon Park, Frank Johnson, and North Macon Park
Basketball Camp A 6-week basketball intensive training camp, the basketball camp will be held at both the Rosa Jackson and Memorial Park Centers.
Sports Camp Children will experience several different sports and receive hands on training in football, baseball, soccer, kickball, boxing, etc. This camp will be located at Freedom Park.
Outdoor Camp This camp will be the same as our general summer camp, however it will be located at Lake Tobesofkee so it will have more of an outdoor focus on the activities.
