In what’s called Macon-Bibb’s first neighborhood, there sits an old, abandoned auditorium. But with a little assistance, this building will be a vibrant center for the arts in Macon-Bibb and the center of neighborhood revitalization. The goal is to create a spot where people from all walks of life, and all skill levels can come and hone their craft, learn a new one, or just enjoy the talents of others.
Thanks to money from six Macon-Bibb Commissioners’ blight funds, an anonymous donor, the Macon Arts Alliance, and several other community partners, Mill Hill: East Macon Arts Village is under construction. Watch the video to hear about how this came together, and why it matters so much to the whole community.
