The Macon-Bibb County Board of Commission does hereby announce that the millage rate will be set at a meeting to be held at the Macon-Bibb County Government Center located at 700 Poplar Street, Macon, Georgia, on August 16, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. and pursuant to the requirements of § 48-5-32 does hereby publish the following presentation of the current year’s tax digest and levy, along with the history of the tax digest and levy for the past five years. The meeting will be broadcast live on Facebook, at MaconBibbTV, and on Cox Cable Channel 14.

At its regular meeting on August 7, the Commission tabled the millage rate and referred it to the Committee of the Whole. A meeting was held on August 9, and the group approved a millage rate of 20.483, an increase of 3 mils over the previous year. The final vote on that will take place on August 16.
