Macon – Jurors deliberated 30 minutes Thursday before finding an Acworth man guilty in the 2016 aggravated child molestation of a then-4-year-old girl.

Dowridge Lamont Foster-Waithe, 21, was sentenced to life in prison.

Chief Assistant District Attorney Nancy Scott Malcor and Assistant District Attorney Cara Fiore presented evidence during the Bibb County Superior Court trial showing:

The molestation was discovered after the girl complained to a family member about pain and said Foster-Waithe had performed a sex act on her while she was trying to sleep. It was discovered Foster-Waithe had sodomized the girl on or about Aug. 16, 2016. A DNA test showed Foster-Waithe’s DNA was found on the child’s body.

Speaking after the trial, Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney David Cooke said, “Every child deserves to be loved and protected. That’s why we vigorously prosecute sexual predators like Mr. Foster-Waithe. With this sentence, he’ll never hurt a child again.”
