Todd Pund has been named President of the new baseball team coming to Macon-Bibb! He’s got more than 15 years of experience in minor league baseball, and for the last three years, Pund was the Director of Ticket Sales for the Gwinnett Braves. You can read his complete bio by clicking here.

We spoke with Pund about his thoughts on baseball in Macon-Bibb and how excited he is to bring America’s favorite pastime to our community. Click here to see that video from MBTV.

The team, which doesn’t have a name yet, is expected to start playing in June 2018 at Historic Luther Williams Field in Central City Park. The field is slated to undergo $2.5 million in renovations which will include seating upgrades, more usable space around the field, bathrooms, concessions, and more! Click here to read about the improvements, funded by the voter-approved SPLOST.

Even if you don’t play baseball, you can be a part of the team, by helping to name it! Visit the team’s website to sign up for the mailing list to receive updates, and learn when they open the naming contest.
