MaconBibbTV Features Government, Community Improvement Efforts

Along with the launch of a new site for the consolidated government (www.maconbibb.us), a new, more engaging site is being launched to help the community learn about consolidation and the people, organizations, and efforts working to make Macon-Bibb a better place to live, work, play, and learn.

“Macon-Bibb can better serve the community if it places a focus on communication, and we want to improve our methods of getting information out, as well as providing opportunities for people to express concerns and ask questions,” says Macon-Bibb Mayor Robert Reichert. “With the launch of the new MaconBibbTV and the focus on our and our partners’ work and success, we want to show people why Macon is a great place to live, work, play, and learn.

People will now be able to go to www.maconbibb.tv for live streaming and archives of Macon-Bibb Commission meetings, department highlights as we continue to consolidate, and video features and pictures from around our community. Simply click on “Videos” at the top of the site to view to see a full archive of these features.

“MaconBibbTV is a great blessing to our community,” says June O’Neal, Executive Director of The Mentors Project. “The Mentors Project was recently featured in a video that highlights our Food For Children Program, and it is helping us get the word out that it is all about the children.”

“Amid the motions of consolidation, the MaconBibbTV team showed complete enthusiasm to spend hours and hours at various Cherry Blossom Festival events documenting the fun-filled activities and beautiful sights that attract tourists from around the world,” says Sean Pritchard, Business Manager with the International Cherry Blossom Festival. “I have complete confidence that the ‘new’ MaconBibbTV will be a comprehensive source for information what’s happening in our newly consolidated government and community.”

“Macon Arts Alliance maintains a one-stop, community calendar at Ovations365.com and is collaborating with MaconBibbTV to showcase local arts and cultural activities on-air,” says Jonathan Dye, Director of Marketing for the Macon Arts Alliance. “Instead of duplicating efforts, we are working together to utilize Ovations365.com as the source for all calendar listings on Channel 14. It’s efficient, effective, and a great example of how collaboration benefits all the citizens of Macon-Bibb.”
