Macon-Bibb County leaders dedicated the Thomas Jackson Juvenile Justice Center on August 27, 2105. To watch the feature video about this exciting day, click here.

“The new Juvenile Justice Center has allowed Juvenile Court to move into an environment that permits us to best use limited resources to protect children, correct them, and ensure public safety,” says Judge Thomas Matthews.

Construction of the Thomas Jackson Juvenile Justice Center was funded by the voter-approved Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST). At approximately 25,000 square feet, it houses Juvenile Court and representatives and programs from the District Attorney’s Office, Public Defender, Department of Juvenile Justice, and Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The Center opened to the public with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on August 4, and you can view a feature video from MaconBibbTV of that long-awaited day by clicking here.
