Hurricane Matthew relief workers, volunteers honored for organized response

At the Commission Meeting on November 1, Macon Mayor Robert Reichert’s Office and Macon+Bibb County presented a proclamation to the Emergency Management Agency and nearly two dozen agencies who helped in Hurricane Matthew relief efforts. From preparing more than 6,000 meals, and providing shelter for more than 600 evacuees, it was a true team effort. Click here to read the proclamation presented to the responders.
