Macon – An employee at the X-Mart in east Macon pleaded guilty Thursday to her part in a 2017 heist at the store.
Whitney Taylor Frost, 24, pleaded guilty to armed robbery during a hearing in Bibb County Superior Court and was sentenced to 15 years, six of them in prison. Her husband, 31-year-old Russell Scott Frost, pleaded guilty to the same charge last week and was sentenced to 10 years in prison followed by five years on probation.

Whitney Frost unlocked the store’s door for her husband just before 6 a.m. on Aug. 5, 2017, and called her coworker to the front of the store. Frost and the other clerk stood behind the counter while Russell Frost – who was holding a knife — demanded money. Whitney Frost handed over cash from the register and then Russell Frost left.
Whitney Frost later admitted planning the robbery with her husband. The Frosts were observed whispering to one another, trying to devise a false alibi for Russell Frost, in a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office interview room.
Speaking after the hearing, Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney David Cooke said, “Mrs. Frost betrayed her coworker and her boss the moment she decided to play a part in this robbery and place them in danger. Now she’ll have six years in prison to reflect on her actions.”
