As part of Macon-Bibb’s ongoing consolidation effort to bring offices together and make them easier to access by the public, the Business Development Services Department has begun its move to the Historic Macon Terminal Station (200 Cherry Street), Suite 202. The entrance to the office is located at the back of the building on the opposite side from the Department of Driver Services.

Already in the new offices are house inspections, permits, plan review, business licenses, and alcohol licenses. Building inspectors are still in the Annex and will move to the new offices at a later time, once the renovations are complete. They can still be reached by phone at 478-803-0470 and online at www.maconbibb.us/business-development-services.Code Enforcement officers are still located in Suite 300 of the Terminal Stations and will also be moving at a later date. They can be reached at 478-751-7192.

“Our new location will be much better for people needing our assistance or services,” says Marcus Robinson, Business Development Services Director. “There is more and closer parking here, and access to the offices is much easier for people with mobility issues.”

Macon-Bibb County is currently moving departments located in the Willie C. Hill Annex Building (682 Cherry Street) to upgraded and improved spaces in other buildings. This effort has happened with several departments since consolidation to help better serve the public and meet goals for revitalization and redevelopment of our community.

Currently, Macon-Bibb County is working to redevelop the Annex to residential and commercial space. Other offices that will be moved in the near future include Human Resources, Planning & Zoning, and the Land Bank Authority.
