Registration is open now for Macon-Bibb Parks & Recreation summer camps! The six-week camps will be focused on a STEAM curriculum, or Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. Camps are Monday through Friday, June 5 through July 14 from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and there are slots open at seven of the eight locations (listed below).

A variety of activities from athletics (includes free swimming once a week) to arts and crafts to educational enrichment to outreach programs to field trips have been planned to benefit each child’s physical, social, and cognitive development. Children will receive breakfast, lunch, and an evening snack each day of camp.

“Our staff is working diligently to provide well-rounded summer camps children will remember for years to come,” says Dominique Lewis, Recreation Programmer. “We hear from teachers each year about students needing educational and enriching activities in the summer, and we hope that through these camps, they will be better prepared for school next year.”

Each camp costs $30 per week, per child, and your first week must be paid upon registration. If you pay for the entire camp at registration, your child will receive one FREE week of camp. To register your children, you must visit the site you wish for them to attend. Only cash or money order will be accepted as payment. The ages for camp are 5 – 15. If you are registering a 5-year-old, you MUST have documentation that your child has completed kindergarten. No rising kindergartners will be accepted. Register today to make sure your kids stay active this Summer!
